How to check your AdSense, AdMob and YouTube earnings on your phone
The official options for each platform, what they’re good at, and how to see all your Google ad revenue together.
If you earn from Google ads you probably have three places to check: AdSense for your websites, AdMob for your apps and YouTube for your channel. Here’s how to check each one on a phone, and how to see them all at once.
1. AdSense: use the mobile website
Google retired the standalone AdSense app in 2021 and moved mobile users to the AdSense website, which works in Safari or Chrome on your phone.
- Open
adsense.google.comin your mobile browser and sign in. - The Home page shows today’s, yesterday’s and this month’s estimated earnings.
- Open Reports for breakdowns by site, country, ad unit or date.
Tip: add the site to your home screen (Share → Add to Home Screen on iPhone) so it opens like an app.
2. AdMob: the console or the AdMob app
AdMob earnings are on the AdMob console at admob.google.com, which also works in a mobile browser. The Home dashboard shows estimated earnings, eCPM, requests and match rate, and the Reports section breaks results down by app, ad unit, format and country.
3. YouTube: the YouTube Studio app
Monetised creators can see revenue in the free YouTube Studio app. Open Analytics and switch to the Revenue tab (or open the Earn section) to see estimated revenue, RPM and the top-earning videos. Remember that YouTube revenue usually appears with a delay of a day or two.
The problem: three apps, three totals
Each tool only knows about its own platform. To answer “how much did I make this month?” you have to open all three, possibly switch currencies, and add the numbers up yourself. That’s fine once a month, but tedious if you check every day.
4. See everything in one app with Monetrix
Monetrix runs on iPhone, iPad and Android. It signs in with Google using read-only access and pulls your AdSense, AdMob and YouTube revenue through Google’s official APIs. You get:
- A single total revenue figure with today’s earnings highlighted.
- Separate cards for each stream, with drill-down into countries, ad units, formats and apps.
- Date ranges from today to all time, and 25 display currencies.
- Your revenue data read straight from Google and not stored on Monetrix servers.
- An Apple Watch app for a glance at today’s total.
Which option should you use?
| You earn from… | Best option |
|---|---|
| Only a website | AdSense mobile site |
| Only apps | AdMob console |
| Only YouTube | YouTube Studio app |
| Two or more of these | Monetrix, for one combined total |
